The trees at Town Green were damaged and put under severe stress from Hurricane Katrina. Not only did the stem and canopy suffer damage from wind and flying debris, the root system was impacted as well. The weight of the water and the amount of salt that was deposited in the soil had a crippling effect on the trees at Town Green park. Fulgham’s Inc. was able to save these trees by increasing root growth with aeration and a liquid injection. This injection not only built back the root system, it also helped break down the salt concentrations left from the storm surge.
