Our roots at Fulgham’s began in 1988 with our founder, Bob Fulgham, and his son, David Fulgham, working on the beginnings of some groundbreaking (quite literally) technology. This technology found its origin in the pecan farms of Louisiana and Texas, where it was common practice to use explosives, often TNT, to break up the soil and allow for better tree growth. This method was advertised by the likes of DuPont, who raved of their “DuPont Explosives.” While this method was extremely effective in increasing the production of the fruit trees, there were a great many number of drawbacks (some people reported the loss of an arm or their hearing).
